LOCATE AND KNOW WHERE YOUR SHUT OFF VALVE TO THE WATER SERVICE TO YOUR HOME

If you have a serious water leak in your home, the fastest and easiest way to prevent further damage from occurring is to stop the flow of water into your home.  The shut-off valve to the water service line into your home will completely stop the flow of water.  The shut off valve is often located inside your garage where the water service line enters your home, or frequently just outside your garage.  Once you locate the shut-off valve, mark it or maybe spray paint it a bright color so if you ever need someone else to shut off the water to your house, you can tell them ". . .it's the valve painted bright orange". Let your family members know where the shut-off valve is.  As part of our unmatched customer service, when a Beacon technician enters your home, they will gladly tag your shut valve to the house and your water heater for free.
